The stay at Nipponia Sawara was a real treat with great service, upgrade offer, and a unique two-floor house with a wooden bath. The manager was accommodating and even helped with translation for nearby restaurants. The location was ideal for exploring the town and the breakfast was excellent.
Nothing for me.

The hotel is situated in a historical area with beautiful surroundings and quiet environment, perfect for relaxation. the wooden Japanese tub is a fantastic touch, adding a Japanese traditional flair to the stay. Staff members are friendly and helpful, offering a well-rounded and delicate Japanese breakfast.
Some aspects of the facilities are defective, such as the leaking wood bathtub and the lack of proper instructions of the controls.

I had an amazing weekend at a historical town in Japan. The wooden house I stayed in was cozy and homey. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making communication easy. The wooden bathtub was a unique and enjoyable experience and the French course meal offered was delicious. it was a special and unforgettable experience staying in this traditional Japanese accommodation.
The bathtub controller was confusing due to the language barrier, but the staff was helpful in assisting with filling it up. It would have been even better if instructions were provided in English.

We had a truly luxurious experience at this hotel. The room we stayed in was actually a spacious house, complete with a large balcony that offered stunning views. The environment was incredibly quiet and comfortable, allowing us to unwind and relax. The highlight was the exceptional service we received from the staff. Upon informing them about my dietary restrictions, the chef prepared a delicious and delicate French course for me, which was on par with my wife's meal. The Japanese-style breakfast served was equally impressive. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and provided clear explanations, making communication in English effortless. This place truly prioritizes comfort and quality service.
Although we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there were a few minor drawbacks. The lack of a handrail to go upstairs in the bedroom was a bit concerning and potentially dangerous.
